Koose Tricycles is a well-established South African brand, starting with designing tricycles in 1991 and a company in 1999. The owner, Koos Engelbrecht has many years of experience in sport for disabled nationally and internationally.
Koos makes use of the best quality parts available in each price range. He is a full time teacher at a school for the Deaf in Worcester and is available after hours, weekends and school holidays. Although he works full time, personal attention is given to enquiries. Communication by telephone, with social media and sms is possible.
Individual attention and the best possible advice is given – it may be that you might have better or other options than a tricycle for your specific needs – that will be determined through discussing your needs. In some cases, it may involve the advice of a physiotherapist to establish what will be the best option.
Each tricycle is made to a specific need – there is no mass production. Components are carefully selected in order that the tricycle can be serviced at your local cycle shop. In some cases it may be necessary that the bicycle mechanic contact Koos. Tricycles can be door-to-door delivered by courier countrywide at an additional charge.
Take a look at what has been done – a range of persons – including physically disabled, elderly, able bodies, Downs Syndrome, and young children use a tricycle. Other uses include “transporter”, two seater and even special tricycles or trailers for “African Burn”.
Ongoing development takes place. New designed tricycles are made available to use for a minimum of six months at various schools and the physiotherapists at the school gives a report after the test period.
